"Double Daddios" at Senzala, Wednesday night, February 24th!
After a successful January debut at Senzala's "Big Band Wednesday" series, the De Anza Daddios will return in February with both the Six O'Clock and Eight O'Clock bands performing on Wednesday night, February 24th, between 7:30 - 10:00 p.m.
Senzala is located at 250 E. Java Drive in Sunnyvale. Cover charge will be $5 with dinner purchase, $10 without dinner.
The traditional, homemade Brazilian cuisine at Senzala is served cafateria style in generous portions. You'll find a pleasant environment entirely decorated with Brazilian themes. Shows presented at Senzala feature an eclectic mix of musical styles, from Brazilian and Latin music to Rhythm & Blues, Jazz and Swing. The De Anza College "Daddios" Evening Jazz Ensembles are in the forefront of preserving and presenting contemporary Big Band Jazz to the south San Francisco Bay Area community. The Daddios, regarded by many as being among the finest evening rehearsal jazz bands in Northern California, present regular concerts on campus, and appear at festivals and various venues in the bay area.

De Anza's two "Daddios" evening jazz ensembles will present an evening of Contemporary Big Band Jazz on Friday, March 19, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. at De Anza's Visual and Performing Arts Center theater. Both the Six O’Clock and Eight O’Clock “Daddios” jazz bands, directed by Steve Tyler, will perform.
Our guest band that evening will be Palo Alto's Gunn High School Jazz Ensemble, directed by Mark Dungan. Guest artist for this performance will be announced soon. Non-reserved seat tickets will be available at the door; prices to be determined. Check this page for future updates!
